Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I chose to attend business school to deepen my understanding of finance and enhance my leadership skills, which are crucial for my long-term goals in the fields of finance and global business. Having worked in both technical and managerial roles at companies like Siemens and Kamla Enterprises, I recognized a knowledge gap that could only be filled by an MBA. The timing is right because I’ve reached a point in my career where the decisions I make impact not just internal processes, but also global stakeholders. Now, more than ever, I need formal education to make data-driven, strategic decisions that align with global business trends and sustainability practices.

Why did you choose Boston College Carroll? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
A dynamically curated MBA curriculum at Boston College, including specialization in subjects like strategic management, risk analytics, financial statement analysis, data analytics in finance amongst others will provide me with the requisite knowledge. My desire to apply for this course is driven not only by my longing to learn from the best faculty but also by the fact that this course comprises an ideal blend of theoretical knowledge, practical cases, and managerial exposure, enabling students to add an element of strategic thinking and innovative decision making in classroom discussions itself. I would be keen to learn from peers with diverse cultural backgrounds, having different thought processes and expressions, varied professional experiences, and interpretations of the global business environment. 

What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Boston College Carroll MBA Class of 2026?
My most valuable contribution to the Class of 2026 would be my diverse professional experience at the intersection of finance, technology, and social impact. With a background in both technical and managerial roles, I bring a well-rounded perspective on solving complex problems. My involvement in NGOs like Womenite, where we address pressing social issues, has honed my leadership and teamwork skills, which I am eager to share with my classmates.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
I used to be a speed cuber in middle school, with my best time being 29 sec.

Post-MBA career interests
After my MBA, I will indulge in a wide range of activities at the managerial level, like dealing with project analysis, planning and development work, strategic formulation, etc., that will help to meet customer demands and align with the company’s future goals. My immediate professional goal is to work with one of the leading global organizations like the IMF, World Bank, Multi-National Banks and Global Investment firms. In the long term, I will start my own financial advisory firm to build a lasting legacy in the field of sustainable finance and investing. 

Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
I would take the time to write a compelling and authentic essay that reflects my true self, seeking input from close friends and family to craft a strong narrative. Additionally, connecting with alumni, current students, and faculty through school events gave me valuable insights into the MBA programs and helped me make an informed decision.

What is one thing you would change or do differently?
I wouldn’t change a single aspect of the process. I thoroughly enjoyed each step, from participating in webinars and coffee chats to preparing my application, mock interviews, and the final interview. Every stage was valuable and enriching.

What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
If I could, I would have skipped the anxiety that comes with waiting for responses. It was tough, but staying focused on my goals and leaning on support from family and friends helped me get through it. Keeping busy with other tasks also kept my mind off the wait.

What is your initial impression of the Boston College Carroll MBA students/culture/community?
The Boston Carroll community is incredibly supportive. My peers come from diverse backgrounds, and everyone truly wants to see each other succeed. The programming and events on campus are impressive.

What is one thing you have learned about Boston Carroll that has surprised you?
I was pleasantly surprised by how dedicated the faculty and staff are to students’ success. Professors go above and beyond to provide support, even answering emails late at night.

What is one thing you are most anxious about in your first year?
I am most anxious about effectively managing my time, especially as I adjust to life as an international student. Balancing coursework with the additional responsibilities of settling into a new environment will require strong organizational skills and careful planning.

What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
I’m eager to immerse myself in courses on managing people and organizations, as they will help me expand my skillset and gain valuable insights into international business dynamics. These courses will be key in shaping my understanding of leadership on a global scale.
