Meet some of the future leaders shaping global business in this edition of Real Humans: MBA Students with new members of the IMD Class of 2025.

103 students joined IMD’s one-year MBA program. Thirty-seven percent of the new class are women and 97 percent hail from outside of Switzerland, representing 44 countries altogether. New IMD students arrived at the business school campus at an average age of 30 with an average of six years of work experience. Twenty-two percent had worked in financing and 16 percent in consulting. Another 12 percent hailed from the manufacturing sector while eight percent came from a consumer and luxury goods background. Eight percent had worked in healthcare and five percent in energy. When it came time to take the GMAT, new IMD MBAs averaged a score of 680.

Behind the stats, we meet a handful of new IMD students. From Odense, Denmark, Anne-Charlotte Bøgh-Sørensen steps into this elite program after an impressive stint at Amazon, driven by a desire to transition into healthcare. Kumi Hiramatsu, a product marketing manager from Japan, chose IMD to enhance her global leadership skills. Rodrigo Lima, a seasoned national sales manager from Brazil, joined IMD to deepen his strategic insights and leadership capabilities after years in the energy and manufacturing sectors. Jakob Johansson from Sweden brings a rare combination of business acumen and engineering expertise, having held roles in operations controlling, while Laras Sandra Sindora from Indonesia, with her strong background in banking, aims to pioneer sustainable financing in her home country.

This exceptional group shares a common goal: personal and professional growth. Yet, their experiences are as diverse as their career ambitions—from healthcare to strategy and sustainability.
