Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
After working in the Financial Services industry, I wanted to broaden my experience across different industries and functions. Business school provides the ideal environment to develop the advanced skills that, paired with my professional experience, will facilitate a successful pivot into a new field. With my career goals becoming more focused, the timing felt right to invest in my personal and professional growth through an MBA.
Why did you choose UGA Terry? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
One key factor was the small class size, which fosters personalized interactions with staff, faculty, and peers, creating a strong sense of community. The consulting capstone projects and the Nonprofit Board Fellows program also played a significant role, as they provide hands-on experience and leadership development that align with my aspirations. Additionally, the program’s flexible curriculum allows me to tailor my education to meet my specific goals.
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the University of Georgia Terry MBA Class of 2026?
My diverse background gives me a unique perspective. I bring an analytical mindset paired with strategic thinking, and my experience working across different teams and functions equips me to approach business challenges from multiple angles. Moreover, my passion for fostering inclusion and teamwork contributes to creating a collaborative environment where every classmate feels empowered to share their ideas.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
I love traveling. I make it a goal to immerse myself in new cultures whenever I can. I believe that exploring different perspectives around the world not only enriches personal experiences but also strengthens professional understanding in today’s globalized business landscape.

–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
Reflecting deeply on my short- and long-term goals. This understanding not only shaped my essays and interviews but also helped me align the program with my career objectives.
–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
Seeking more feedback on my application materials before submitting them. Gathering diverse perspectives would allow you to refine your narrative and highlight your strengths more effectively.
–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
The GMAT. Although it can sometimes be waived, I recognized that preparing for the GMAT was valuable for building my quantitative and verbal skills, and it ultimately strengthened my application. Focusing on the long-term benefits helped me stay motivated throughout the process.
What is your initial impression of the UGA Terry students/culture/community?
It’s a tight-knit, supportive community where everyone genuinely wants each other to succeed. From faculty to students, the emphasis on collaboration over competition is evident. Cross-program engagement through events and classes also helps build connections across different student cohorts.
What is one thing you have learned about UGA Terry that has surprised you?
The hands-on approach to learning really stood out. I was surprised by how many opportunities there are to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations, whether through simulations, capstone projects, or other experiential learning initiatives. This has already enhanced my learning experience.
What is one thing you are most anxious about in your first year?
Balancing the demands of academics, social activities, and career management is a key challenge. With so many opportunities and responsibilities, I’m confident that my time management skills and proactive planning will help me prioritize effectively and fully embrace my MBA journey.
What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
I am excited about building meaningful relationships with my cohort and the broader UGA community. Connecting with new people, learning from their experiences, and growing together throughout this journey is one of the things I’m most looking forward to.
