Learn more about student life at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business as we meet some new members of the MBA Class of 2026 in this Real Humans: MBA Students.

Thirty-two students matriculated to Warrington in 2024. A quarter of the new class are women and nearly 16 percent are international. Fifty-three percent of U.S. citizens and permanent residents identify as minorities. All together, they arrived to campus at an average age of 26 and with an average of four years of work experience. Six percent had served in the military.

When it came time to take the GMAT, Warrington MBAs averaged a score of 656 on the 10th edition; on the new edition (formerly known as the GMAT Focus), they averaged a score of 575. Meanwhile, nearly 38 percent of candidates submitted GRE scores. They landed an average total score of 307. During their undergraduate years, the group had an average GPA of 3.42.

Beyond the class profile, we meet a handful of individuals, each with their own unique backgrounds and aspirations, who chose the Florida Warrington MBA for the community, support and more. To start, Bri Urukalo, originally from Austin, Texas, made the decision to attend business school to facilitate a career pivot, leveraging her background in kinesiology and political science to pursue leadership and management roles. Then, Cayla Olinger brings a blend of marine science and sports industry experience, and is eager to explore career opportunities in finance and management. We also hear from Emily Storrs, who has a background in veterinary science and marine biology, as she seeks to combine her STEM skills with business acumen to expand her impact on organizations. Matthew King, a former engineer from Orlando, is using his MBA to pivot from engineering to consulting, corporate finance, and strategy, leveraging his data-driven decision-making experience. Finally, Sam Bodman, originally from Michigan, is passionate about financial markets and has a background in trading and investor relations; he’s eager to transition into consulting through the MBA. Together, these students form a dynamic and tight-knit cohort, ready to collaborate and grow at Florida Warrington. Read more about them in the following pages.
