Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I chose to attend business school to expand my knowledge and gain the skills necessary for the career path I pursued after college. I decided not to postpone this decision because I knew that once I was fully immersed in a job, it would be difficult to step away and commit to two years of study. I realized this was the right time for me to gain the expertise I needed, although I believe everyone has their own timing for taking this step.
Why did you choose UF Warrington? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
I chose UF Warrington largely because of my positive experience as an undergraduate at UF, where I fell in love with the university. The strong community and culture of both UF and Gainesville drew me back to pursue my master’s degree.
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2026?
I believe my most unique contribution to the Class of 2026 is my diverse background, combining an undergraduate degree in marine science with a career in the sports industry. As one of the youngest in my class, with just one year in the workforce, I can bring in perspectives and insights that differ from those with more experience.

Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
I would absolutely meet with a staff member for a coffee chat, whether in person or online. I had the chance to have an in-person coffee chat before, and it was tremendously helpful in guiding my path through the application process.
–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
I wish I had looked into the program sooner. I delayed because I thought I wasn’t qualified, but that wasn’t the case.
–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
I would have preferred to skip the essay questions, as I tend to overthink my answers and am very self-critical. What helped me get through it was getting feedback from peers and mentors, which provided another set of eyes and opinions to help me organize my ideas.
What is your initial impression of the Florida Warrington students/culture/community?
The students, culture, and community have been nothing short of amazing. UF has always felt like a second home to me, and it continues to do so.
What is one thing you have learned about Florida Warrington that has surprised you?
The resources available on campus are incredibly helpful. Everyone is willing to assist as long as you’re willing to ask. If someone doesn’t have the answer, they can always point you in the right direction.

I’m feeling anxious about finding my internship for the summer. Finding your internship and career interests can happen quickly in your first year, and it’s both exciting and nerve-wracking.
What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
I’m most excited about attending national career fairs and participating in case studies! Previous students have spoken highly of these events, and I’m eager to experience them for myself.
