Pre-MBA Work Experience: Before Olin, I held a variety of internships including working on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., in Commercial Real Estate, and as a Head Soccer Referee.
Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I knew relatively early on that I would want to continue my business education, and pursuing my MBA would set me on the right path to achieve my career goals. Graduating a year and a half early from an undergraduate degree allowed me to pursue my MBA earlier than anticipated.
Why did you choose WashU Olin? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?WashU Olin was my top selection for several reasons. When looking for an MBA program, I wanted a well-ranked full-time program with highly regarded faculty, global experiences, and in-person classes. Learning more about Olin and its many opportunities, I knew this was the perfect choice for me.
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2026?
Being the youngest currently in the program, I provide a unique and innovative approach that elevates discussions and group projects. I bring a view that bridges generational ideas while providing an original perspective on traditional business strategies as well as distinctive insight into upcoming business trends.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that wasn’t included in your application:
I experienced the thrill of being levitated during a magic show while my family was on vacation.
Post-MBA career interests:
After my MBA, I am interested in pursuing a role in finance with an entrepreneurial focus. I have greatly enjoyed working in an environment where I can wear multiple hats and where building relationships is a vital component of the role.
Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
When going through the process, I decided to apply to become a Forté Fellow. Becoming a Forté Fellow allowed me to explore different career paths by meeting women in a variety of industries that I was interested in pursuing. This opportunity gave me more insight and direction in determining my educational platforms.
–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
While I enjoyed the chance to meet some of my classmates before starting the program, I would have loved more opportunities to connect with them in person.
–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
While I was excited to complete my undergraduate degree in December, the wait until July made the transition feel longer than I had anticipated. Despite the break in between, connecting with current staff and students made the wait not seem as long.
What is your initial impression of the WashU Olin students/culture/community?
Long before I submitted my application, I recognized the strength of the Olin community. Through conversations with admissions, staff, and later, students after my admission, I realized that this community is truly unique and one that will stay with me long after graduation.
What is one thing you have learned about WashU Olin that has surprised you?
As I learned more about the program and Olin, I realized the multitude of opportunities available to me as a student. While I had a general idea, attending departmental presentations helped me gain a broader understanding of the possibilities that lie ahead.
What is one thing you are most anxious about in your first year?
I feel most anxious about managing a full-time program with its additional opportunities while effectively searching for a summer internship.
What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
I am particularly excited about the global experience programs. After completing the opportunities I have had to travel to Washington, D.C. and Barcelona, I am certainly looking forward to traveling to Singapore this March.
