Mohammed Hazazi, Esade MBA Class of 2026

Age: 30 Years
Hometown: Riyadh – Saudi Arabia
Undergraduate Institution and Major: Al-Imam Muhammed Bin Saudi Islamic University, Bachelor of Business Administration
Pre-MBA Work Experience (role, company, years): 10 Years, I am working as a Talent Development Specialist in Saudi Industrial Development Fund SIDF
Esade 12-, 15-, or 18-month track: 12 or 15. I will decide at the beginning of the next year but most likely 15

Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I decided to attend the MBA program in Esade to refine my skills in global business strategies. After nearly a decade in the professional world, I am ready to advance my career and take on more responsibility. This MBA comes at a pivotal point as I transition from developing talent to shaping the future of business strategies.

Why did you choose Esade? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
I chose Esade for its outstanding reputation, forward-thinking faculty, and strong focus on international business. The supportive community and diverse culture are aligned with my personal and professional values, making it an ideal environment to achieve my career goals.

What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2025?
Having lived and worked in diverse cultures, I excel at bridging cultural gaps and fostering inclusive environments. My extensive background in talent development enables me to contribute meaningfully to discussions around leadership and personal growth.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
Well, if I am in the middle of something important and I want to focus I usually play songs that I can’t understand their language for example (Iranian, Turkish, or Mongolian throat singing), no idea why I am doing that but luckily it works =)

Post-MBA career interests:
I aim to become a Talent Development Consultant with a long-term vision of starting a business offering career coaching for performance improvement in corporate settings.

Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
The truth of the matter there are two parts during the application process that inspired me, and I would absolutely do them again: writing the essay was a wonderful way to help me know what are the priorities to start with (the section that includes the mid-term and long term goals); and the second, the interview with Judith.

–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
I would start practicing for the Esade test earlier

–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
I may refer to the previous answer.

What is your initial impression of the Esade students/culture/community?
The Esade community is incredibly supportive, innovative, and diverse. There is a strong sense of collaboration and mutual respect that fosters a positive learning environment.

What is one thing you have learned about Esade that has surprised you?
I was surprised by the wide range of international partnerships and opportunities for global engagement that Esade offers, truly emphasizing its global network.

What is one thing you are most anxious about in your first year?
Honestly, the accounting and finance courses. I came from HR, so we don’t usually deal with numbers. As a result, it may be a bit challenging.

What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
I am most excited about meeting peers from around the world, collaborating on projects, and engaging in enriching discussions that broaden my perspective.
