Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
As a part of my learning curve is slowing down and reaching a more managerial responsibility role in my job, it is the right moment to pursue the MBA program to reach my maximum potential, career progression and networking.
Why did you choose Alliance Manchester Business School? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
The main reason I chose Alliance Manchester Business School is because the course focuses mainly on practical projects rather than theoretical ones which can be learned elsewhere or even on the internet. AMBS provides hands-on experiences and learning by doing.
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2026?
By coming from a renewable energy background, which is the world’s current trend and is moving towards a Net-Zero economy, I believe I can make a huge contribution to the class with the knowledge I have and also learn more from more experienced classmates.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
I was once a Junior Golfer and took on many tournaments (I am a great golfer :))
Post-MBA career interests:
I would like to continue pursuing the renewable energy industry, but I would like to do this in the Middle East, where the Renewable Energy Market still has so much growth. Or pivot into Investment Banking either in Europe or the Middle East.
Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
Interviewing with Helen Dowd (Head of Admissions at AMBS), she is so much fun and very warm. I think this was the best part of my application process and also another reason why I chose AMBS.
–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
Take less GMAT exams. Yes it is important, but it is not the most important aspect of the application process.
–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
Taking multiple GMAT exams but I got through it by doing countless hours of studying 🙂
What is your initial impression of the AMBS students/culture/community?
Everyone in the Class of 2026 is very open-minded and warm. I think everyone has the mindset of wanting to learn more and putting their ego aside. Also, the culture and community are very warm, especially all the MBA staff.
What is one thing you have learned about AMBS that has surprised you?
As I have mentioned, the AMBS MBA is very practical; it is much more practical than I expected, which I believe is very valuable both time and money.
What is one thing you are most anxious about in your first year?
The total workload is now starting to pile up but this would be mitigated with good time management.
What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
Working in multiple teams with different people from different backgrounds. I give high attention to each individual: how they work, play, talk and what can I learn from them.
