The University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School has announced the launch of its new Master of Science in Management (MSM) program, aimed at recent college graduates without prior business education.
This 10-month program is designed to equip students with essential business knowledge and practical skills through coursework and experiential learning opportunities.
“Our Master of Science in Management program is designed to help recent college graduates kickstart their careers in business,” said Courtney Knoll, associate dean of the program and the Master of Accounting Program at UNC Kenan-Flagler. “It expands our graduate offerings for those pursuing business careers, giving them a competitive edge in the job market.”
Classes are set to begin on August 18, 2025. The program’s curriculum spans fundamental business disciplines such as accounting, finance, marketing, analytics, economics, strategy, leadership, operations, and business communication. Students can further specialize by choosing concentrations in either finance or marketing.
An experiential learning capstone course will enable students to strengthen their leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. As part of this course, student teams will collaborate with industry leaders on consulting projects, addressing real-world business challenges.
To support career development, a dedicated career services team will assist students in refining their resumes, honing their interview skills, and connecting with potential employers across sectors such as corporate, healthcare, technology, and nonprofits. Additionally, students will gain access to UNC Kenan-Flagler’s extensive alumni network of over 51,000 professionals spanning 50 states and 97 countries.
Currently, tuition for the 2025-2026 academic year is set at $46,923 for in-state residents and $53,260 for out-of-state residents.
