The interview was conducted by an alum and lasted about 50 minutes. I emailed them two days prior with a calendar invite.
It started very informal with small talk and introduction (tell me about yourself). The interviewer talked about his background and gave me an idea of the interview structure. (5 mins) He started asking me the following questions.
- What are you working on at the moment?
- Why an MBA now?
- What are your ST & LT goals?
- Do you have a back up plan for your goals?
- What about CBS stands out for you?
- Clubs and classes you will like to participate in and why?
- What do you like doing outside of work?
- Is there anything you think will challenge you?
- What other programs did you apply to and where does CBS rank within that list? (20 mins)
Followed by 3 behavioral questions about leadership example, dealing with conflict and handling constructive feedback. (15 mins)
Then he asked me if there was anything I wanted to share or talk about. I used it to talk about extracurriculars. (5 mins)
Lastly, he opened it up for questions and I asked 2 questions about their experience. (5 mins)
Overall a very nice mix of professional but also casual style of interview. The interviewer made me feel comfortable and was very conversational.
