I had the interview with an American alum who is now working in Europe. The interview lasted exactly 30 minutes: 25 minutes of standard questions, plus 5 minutes for my questions about the School. With such a short time available I had to squeeze my answers, but I was able to do that since I prepared quite well also to this possibility. The alum was down to earth and really inspiring, as all the other GSB students that I met/talked to.
Here are some questions:
- which book did you read recently that particularly interested you?
- why do you want to quit your job? (I am shareholder in small start-up and aiming to enter VC industry)
- tell me about a situation when you had to advocate for a position in your professional or educational experience.
- Chicago is known for faculty, high ranking, finance, what else do you value of Chicago?
