UCLA / Anderson MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 1 / Second-year Student / On Campus

The interview took exactly 30 minutes. The interviewer was very pleasant and friendly. Overall, it was laid back and low pressure. None of the questions I was asked were out of the ordinary.

Here is a list of some of the questions I was asked:

  1. Tell me about yourself.
  2. Handful of questions about different things from my resume (nothing unexpected).
  3. What are your short-term and long-term career goals?
  4. Why MBA?
  5. Why Anderson?
  6. How do you define success?
  7. Tell me about a leadership experience you’ve had at work.
  8. Tell me about a time you worked well as a peer on a team.
  9. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult person at work. How did you handle the situation?
  10. What activities do you want to be involved with at Anderson?

I had about 5 minutes at the end to ask the interviewer some questions.
