Interviewed during the Stern Spotlight on Women’s event
It started off with something personal from my resume. I was then asked the following:
- How did you choose your undergrad?
- Why MBA, why Stern?
- What organizations do I plan to join?
- What would I do if I couldn’t get into the summer internship I wanted?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Tell me about a failure.
- How would my coworkers describe me?
- What is the best constructive criticism I received, and what did I learn?
- How would I make my final decision if accepted into multiple schools?
- Questions for her?
Overall, I had a good impression about Stern. The interview lasted approximately 30 minutes, and it was an open dialogue between two people. Aside from the interview, everyone at Stern was extremely friendly; current students were around to answer questions and professors made time to introduce themselves at the Stern Spotlight on Women’s event. They seemed to really care.
I was told a decision would be made within two weeks, but heard back sooner. I was accepted! Good luck!
