Kellogg MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Alum / Off Campus

I am an international applicant and had interview on Feb 29th with an alumnus, off-campus. My interview was held in interviewer’s car as she had to go somewhere and we had to complete the interview within a day according to school deadline. I was asked by her to meet at airport. The interview began about half an hour late, when she came out of the airport and it began as soon as she met me on airport itself. The interview questions were mostly standard:

  • Where are you working and whats your job responsibilities?
  • What is your background?
  • Why you want to do an MBA?
  • Why Kellogg?
  • Team working experience? (Cut off in the answer by “So what were 3 things that you did that helped you navigate through difficult team situation that I had described)
  • Leadership experience. (She probed in this asking Why do you think it was leadership experience, what was the leadership aspect in it that you did?)
  • What would you contribute to Kellogg?
  • 3 Strengths and Weaknesses.
  • Tell me about a time you were innovative ( I had told that my work experiences had involved doing lot of innovation).
  • Questions for me. I asked about her experiences at Kellogg and related questions to her answers.

The interview was blind and interviewer asked me for a resume after the interview got over and I was about to go. The interview lasted around 45-50 minutes. Best of luck to everyone.
