Wharton’s interview was very low-pressure. I was interviewed by a second year who happened to be a member of the adcom – she knew nothing about me pre-interview. Questions were fairly basic – about my resume, and specifically about my plans for Wharton. Perhaps since I am a younger applicant, the interview appeared to be about getting more detail about my experiences and making sure I was very specific about my reasons for wanting an MBA.
Questions included: Why Wharton, Why MBA, Resume specific, Examples of working in teams, examples of leadership, how I have brought an underperforming team member up to speed in the past. I was impressed with the openness of the process and the lack of pressure – my interviewer was very open about the process and her purpose for the discussion.
