Fridays From the Frontline: the Light at the End of the Tunnel

Fridays From the Frontline is Clear Admit’s weekly summation of posts from the business school blogosphere. Biologist Barry Commoner once said that “if you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, you are looking the wrong way.” This week business school applicants begin seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for their application process, while current students and alumni update us on their recent endeavors.

Among current applicants, Topdogmba submitted his applications to INSEAD, MIT Sloan and Wharton after a last-minute “mad dash.” Meanwhile, Naijambagal just applied to Stanford and Wharton, celebrating what she calls her “independence day.” In other news, Efessays lays out his itinerary for  his “G-day,” also known as the day he takes the GMAT.

Switching gears to students and alumni, Vickie Euyoque and several other Anderson students continued their tour of Asia by visiting the Tokyo Disney theme park, which features Mickey Mouse shaped hamburgers and strawberry flavored popcorn. On the other hand, Ryann Kopacka, a first-year at Haas, reports that this year’s class is 43% women, the highest proportion in the school’s history. Finally, Kellogg graduate Jen Moore discusses her company “Meez Meals,” which provides ingredients that have already been prepped for cooking, also known as “mise en place.”

That’s everything for this week. Good luck with your applications, and be sure to tune in next week for more news from the business school blogosphere!
