Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 Yup, but be careful. I know a guy who did that last year and got a rejection the very same day...not sure if his rejection had something to do with his call, but he really got his news that day and two weeks before everyone else. (0)

OP Likes Earned: 0 Well, I'll give it a try. I really don't believe that it will "piss them off", their selection process is too serious to be petty enough to dig me for asking. I will just expect them to either not answer or refuse. Not so sure what the "real-life skills" comment means but in my real-life experience asking politely is never a bad idea :-) (0)
