Note about Duke / Fuqua

Note:

Sponsored management consultant with plans to live in southeast long-term. 100% sure I will return to firm. Trying to decide between Kellogg and Fuqua ($$). Liked both places. Having a hard time turning down alleged "presitige" of Kellogg, despite a lot of good reasons to attend Fuqua. Any thoughts?

Even if you aren't sponsored, Fuqua, regardless of scholarship, would still be off the table when compared to Kellogg. Unless you absolutely hate the culture at Kellogg and love the culture of Fuqua, I say attend Kellogg. Not even comparable schools. (0)

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 I don't think Kellogg has much of "prestige". After all, they are not able to get into H/S, and they are not able to get into W, and, they are not able to get into Chicago (0)

OP Likes Earned: 0 Thanks for the responses. I guess I'm having a tough time rationalizing the ROI. Fuqua will end up saving me about $40K (firm gives you a bonus for any scholarships) and I will make the exact same amount when I return. Is the quality of the education/network at Kellogg really worth that much? (0)

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 OP you sound like you want someone here to tell you it's okay to pick Fuqua over Kellogg. Considering the majority of people here appear to favor "prestige" while you don't care as much ("alleged"? Lol), you're unlikely to get too much support. At the end of the day, you're the only one who has to live with the choice you make! So if you don't think the popular perception isn't important, and if you feel like you will be happy at Fuqua, trust your gut and just go there! Neither school is going to give you a bad educational experience. (0)
