The head of the finance department interviewed me and asked questions about my resume. Questions included:
-Tell me about a conflict at work.
-What are your career goals?
-Do you have any target companies?
-Why BYU?
-Why Finance/Accounting?
I asked about their global program and the Silver Fund experiential learning. Due to their lack of electives, I asked about professor engagement on more specialized topics. I was told I could create my own elective if I so desired by making a contract with a professor. I asked if they had many women in the Finance program. I was not surprised to learn there weren’t many and that most were in other programs. I was surprised by how quickly the turnaround was on the interview to acceptance.
