osu online mbaOver the past year and a half, the restrictions implemented due to COVID-19 put many people’s goals, dreams, and ambitions on hold. Classes were cancelled, acceptances were postponed, and no one knew when to start pursuing their passions again. However, The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business is making sure no student ever has to press pause on their dreams again thanks to its new, highly flexible Online Working Professional MBA.

Ohio State’s Online Working Professional MBA is an unparalleled part-time graduate-level educational experience that is personalized, experiential, and transformational. The new online offering provides Working Professional MBA students opportunities to take courses online, in-person, or a mix of both. It also offers students the ability to choose how many credit hours they take each semester. Admitted students can expect courses that are a mix of synchronous and asynchronous delivery, with asynchronous content accessible 24/7. All of it provides students with even more flexibility in how they balance their work and personal demands while pursuing a graduate business degree from Ohio’s flagship university.

Featuring the same academic rigor as Ohio State’s in-person WPMBA classes, students admitted into the program are required to take 27 core credit hours and 21 elective credit hours of their choosing. The degree can be completed in as little as two years or as many as six, with the average time to graduation being a little less than three years (eight semesters) at six credit hours per semester.

Steve DeNunzio, Academic Director of the Working Professional MBA Program

“We are determined to maintain high-quality education and build a program for the modern learner,” says Steve DeNunzio, the academic director of the Working Professional MBA program.

The online enhancement only adds to Ohio State’s pedigree as a leader in graduate business education, with U.S. News & World Report ranking the program 10th nationwide, fifth among public universities and first among part-time programs in Ohio.

Below are a few of the core courses:

  • Accounting for Decision Making
  • Data Analysis for Managers
  • Managerial Economics
  • Marketing
  • Operations
  • Organizational Behavior

The Online Working Professional MBA program is open to candidates who are currently employed with at least two years of post-baccalaureate work experience, although exceptions are available for students who are currently unemployed or actively seeking a return to the workforce. The Online Working Professional MBA application requires transcripts, a GMAT or GRE test score, professional resume, personal statement and a video interview. More detailed information on the admissions process and any exceptions can be found on the program’s admission page or by email: [email protected].
