Undergrad: mid tier State School ranked similarly to Auburn, Rutgers. 3.5 GPA in National Security Studies.

Work Ex: 4 years as an intelligence officer in the USMC

-Worked as the Officer in Charge of a 40-man watchfloor that provided intelligence support to forward deployed forces

-In charge of a dynamic group of individuals: highly trained military linguists and analysts and civilian linguists.

-Deployed on a Marine Expeditionary Unit (Marines embark on Navy ships and sail to different areas to train and do operations)

-Senior intelligence officer on a navy vessel

-Led intelligence planning efforts

I think my profile is very competitive in some aspects, high GMAT, good GPA. But at the same time I am not special forces, pilot, navy nuke etc. In fact, I am not even ROTC. I joined the Marines somewhat randomly using their Officer Candidates School program that allows anyone getting a college degree to apply to become an Officer. This is a less traditional route.

I am starting a job soon where I will work with a defense contractor. My job will entail intelligence support to SEAL teams, I will hold this job until I matriculate to a program.

I am wondering is my list too bold? I figure I would put out my best effort for R1 and then if I go 0/7 I would put in safety's R2.

Super GMAT. You have strong leadership, and I think your intelligence work will be seen favourably, for sure. Reach out to the veterans’ clubs of the programs you’re targeting. uncreative56 Likes Earned: 0 Thank you for the response! I would consider a safety to be something like Tuck/Yale SOM/UCLA? I may throw in one of those in place of Booth, which is my last choice due to personal preference. I am a bit nervous because the admit rates at HSW and Sloan/Haas are so low, but I really just want to put in maximum effort and convert on one of those schools. I have a consultant for HSW so I am really banking on an acceptance to one of those three. I think my greatest chances are at W. Ultimately my long term goals are to exit from MBB into a defense/aerospace company. (0)
