Currently in B4 management consulting, aiming to transition into impact consulting in the short term post-MBA, and long term start my own impact consulting firm focused on one key area (which I have demonstrated impact in over the past 4 years in my extracurriculars). Ethnically Indian, but have worked for 3 years in Dubai and intended to return to the GCC region. On track for R1 at HSW, Booth, Sloan, LBS, and INSEAD!

It’s very interesting that your long term goal ties to your extracurricular impact. International experience should also help. Do you have any geographic preference, in the short term, post MBA? (1)

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1237 Numbers are stellar. Work experience sounds like it certainly ticks the box (ideally your recommenders have great things to say). While you are over-represented as an Indian, the 'working-out-of-country' angle will help somewhat. I also think it's a plus that your long-term plans involve returning to the same region (GCC). Do you have a sense of which employers you may target post-MBA in the impact consulting domain? Be sure they are active recruiters at your target programs... It's great that your ECs mesh with your plans, as long as the schools will feel like they can help you realize your goals. Best of luck and thanks for posting!

anon33199 Likes Earned: 2 Thank you Alex and Graham! Geographically, I want to move back to Dubai. I have two main employers in mind post-MBA who have a strong presence at most of the schools, and tend to have just-in-time recruitment as well, so hopefully mentioning that will be good. My main concern is being Indian, but hopefully, I've done enough with my life to stand out a bit haha. Thanks for a fantastic site - ClearAdmit has helped a lot while putting together these apps!!
