Ninety-eight percent of the 145 graduating members of the Emory Goizueta Business School MBA Class of 2022 earned job offers and claimed them within three months of graduation, according to the new employment report. The median base salary increased roughly $30,000 over last year’s class to $165,000. Median base salary plus signing bonus jumps to $193,000 for the recent two-year MBA graduates.
Industry Choice
The top industry for the Emory Goizueta Two-Year MBA Class of 2022 is consulting, where 55 percent of students found work. Financial services followed at 16 percent. Thirteen percent joined the tech industry and eight percent went into healthcare/pharma/biotech fields. Three percent secured roles in consumer packaged goods.
The highest median salary by industry is in consulting, which reached $170,000. The next highest median salary is in financial services, where graduates reported earnings landed at a median of $162,500.

Regional Placement
Sixty-six percent of Emory Goizueta MBA graduates chose to stay in the region of the school, that is the Southern U.S. The school notes, 75 percent of Fortune 1000 firms have a presence in Atlanta in addition to other U.S. cities, but Atlanta’s low cost of living and temperate weather attract many graduates to stay in the area. Eighteen percent headed to the Northeast U.S. and seven percent headed to the West. Three percent each settled in the Mid-Atlantic, Southwest or Midwest.
