I studied Business Administration for my undergrad. I completed my ACCA examinations recently as a global top performer. I am FGLI. I started my career as a securitization analyst with a startup company (first of its kind in Ghana) that aimed at deepening the local financial markets with its products. I assisted with the financial modeling for the program and financial due diligence. Currently I am in Treasury management with a commercial bank and I am the sole associate involved in raising funds from DFIs for on-lending to SMEs. I have raised over USD 50m since I started this role 3 years ago and I have reports on the financial and non-financial impact my work have on these SMEs. I have spearheaded some digital innovation ideas at work as an "Innovation Champion". Won two awards at work in recognition of my output and engagement with stakeholders. Outside work, I volunteer as the finance manager for an NGO that focuses on HIV prevention for the sexual minorities and support services for those living with HIV/AIDS. I have a plethora of extra-curricular activities from my college days.
My interest is in Wealth and capital creation and I would like to enter into either IB or consulting post MBA.
I am however worried about my GRE Score. This is my 2nd attempt and I am yet to crack the test. Quant score (154). I have scheduled a third attempt. I was wondering if I could use my professional experience and academic qualifications (ACCA, Chartered Banker, Licensed Financial Markets Dealer) to prove to adcom that I am prepared for the Quant rigour of an MBA program.
