I am originally from Trinidad and Tobago. Migrated to the US for college when I was 18 years old and have been here since then. Completed my bachelors and masters degrees in chemical engineering from state schools (not super highly ranked but still well respected). After finishing my degrees I got job a process engineer for a global specialty chemicals company headquartered in Germany. Will have about 6 years experience working in chemicals as a Process Engineer (3 promotions). Wanting to pivot my career into consulting with a focus on sustainable solutions in energy/chemicals sectors. Plan to apply to through the consortium since I am an underrepresented minority.
P.S. I don’t plan on doing the GRE again as I would like to focus on the other areas of my application before they are due in September/October.

For your profile, you could just as easily apply in Round 2, giving you more time to prepare? Showing impact and growth at work will be important. 3 promotions helps. Are you also involved in activities outside of work? (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1676 May be worth splitting your apps over the first two rounds, then taking the GRE again after the round 1 deadlines. As things stand now, you might be very successful with a 324, but a higher score may help with the very best programs on your target list. Or maybe add Wharton and Sloan in Round 2, with new GRE, if not successful in Round 1, etc. (0)
