BS Aeronautical Engineering from a service academy. 7 years active duty Air Force officer: 4 yrs as an IT operations manager supporting an intelligence unit, 3 years as a military liaison & project officer at a government agency conducting test & evaluation for IT systems.

Now, I have 2 years at a major aerospace/defense company as an IT engineer in a manufacturing facility.

Would love the opportunity to apply my military and engineering experience in management consulting or LDP/operations roles.

I'd greatly appreciate any insight on school selection. I think I have OK targets, but would like to hear any advice on reaches and safeties. Also, any considerations for vets who have been out of the service for a bit.

Showing impact and growth during your military career and now, will be important. Assume no grade inflation for your GPA, but it’s still going to be below the median for top programs. Are you targeting round 1 with these programs? (0)

sjasonlee1 Likes Earned: 5 For LT goals, I was thinking operations or strategy at a tech company, but nothing against anywhere in the F500. I figured tech was the best use for my IT/cybersecurity background. I have some unrelated ECs: was an EMT during my college years, now involved in amateur motorcycle racing and competitive weightlifting...hard to show real impact, I know. Yes, I am targeting Round 1, but am open to delaying or putting more apps for Round 2. Thanks for following up! (0)

sjasonlee1 Likes Earned: 5 Hi Alex, I'm not opposed to staying in the aerospace/defense sector, but personally I haven't many instances of T25 MBAs here (at least at my org). Long term, I figured tech as a whole seemed a safer bet as a former IT generalist. Any input is appreciated, of course. (0)
