In this edition of our Real Humans: MBA Students series, we hear from some new members of the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business MBA Class of 2025.
241 students comprise the Texas McCombs MBA Class of 2025. Women make up 35 percent of the class while international students comprise 26 percent of the new group. Of U.S. students, 35 percent identify as a minority and 18 percent as historically underrepresented minority students. A fifth were first-gen college students in their families and 14 percent of the students are active-duty U.S. military or veterans.
During their undergraduate years, the new McCombs MBA students had an average undergraduate GPA of 3.46. Thirty-five percent had majored in business or economics and 32 percent in STEM fields. Another 13 percent had studied humanities, and 20 percent pursued other majors. Seventeen percent of students already hold an advanced degree. On average, students matriculated with 5.9 years of work experience at an average age of 29.
When it came time to take the GMAT, the class landed an average score of 704. For those who took the GRE, the average Verbal score is 160, and the average Quant score is 161.
