I've already sent my deposit for Stern, but just got accepted at CBS (R2FE). I really like the vibe of the Sternies I've met, and I live much closer to Stern (not able to move). Eventually I'd like to end up on the West coast, so I am drawn to the large network of CBS, but worried the culture might not be as good of a fit as Stern. Any insights?

Columbia is in the higher tier; this may be reflected in the overall aggregate quality of the class, classmates, as well as access to opportunities. Networks on the west coast I’d think would lean towards Columbia. (0)

I am a non-traditional candidate from the design industry (and another reason I was leaning towards Stern for their connections to creative industries.) Since I see myself living on the West coast or internationally in the future, however, I think the CBS name carries more weight in those locations. So... conflicted! (1)

CBS is in a higher tier and has a bigger global brand and has better MBB consulting placement. On the other hand, Stern is a great school and it sounds like you personally prefer the Stern program. I suggest that you do some more due diligence about Stern's career placement and visit CBS to learn more about its community. (0)
