The Ohio State University (OSU) Fisher College of Business MBA Class of 2026 features a dynamic and diverse group of individuals, each bringing a unique blend of professional experience, personal interests, and aspirations to the program as shared in this edition of our Real Humans: MBA Students series.

47 students matriculated at the program this year. Thirty-six percent of the new class are women and 45 percent are international, representing 13 countries. Thirty-one percent of U.S. students identify as minorities. Nine percent are part of the LGBTQ+ community.

During their undergraduate years, OSU Fisher MBA students earned an average GPA of 3.54. Thirty-eight percent had majored in business and 26 percent in engineering. Twenty-one percent had earned degrees in the arts and sciences, and 15 percent in social sciences.

When it came time to take the GMAT, Fisher MBAs landed an average score of 690 with the middle 80 percent of scores ranging from 659 to 710. For those who opted to take the GRE, they reported an average score of 317. The middle 80 percent of GRE scores ranged from 307 to 327. The Fisher MBA Class of 2026 arrived on campus with an average of 5.4 years of work experience at the average age of 29. Eleven percent of the new class have a military background.

Beyond the class profile of OSU Fisher students, we meet six members of the new class in the following pages. To start, Ashu Suman, a mechanical engineer from India, is leveraging her seven years of experience in the oil and gas industry to advance her career in supply chain management. With a focus on operational transformation and efficiency, she was drawn to Fisher’s strong reputation in supply chain and operations management, as well as its global education initiatives. Next we meet Lauren Springer, a marketing strategist from Ohio. She seeks to expand her business acumen and transition into consulting, with a long-term goal of supporting local businesses. Her experience in email marketing and her passion for fostering inclusivity will be key contributions to her class. Joining with over two decades of experience in customer experience and marketing, David Cascante Mora is aiming to step into leadership roles. His deep expertise and customer-centric mindset will help shape discussions on sustainability and business strategy. Tiara Simms, a branch and account manager from Cincinnati, is pursuing a career in strategy consulting or banking. She brings a wealth of experience from managing businesses and a passion for community building, making her an integral part of Fisher’s collaborative environment. Then, Ramakrishnan Krishna Moorthy, a design engineer with a strong technical background, plans to enhance his business acumen to lead global growth initiatives while championing sustainability. His experience in charitable work and multilingualism adds a unique cultural perspective to the cohort. Finally, Will Burton, a former U.S. Marine Corps officer, is pursuing a joint JD/MBA with a focus on corporate law. His leadership experience in security operations, combined with his strategic decision to settle into a more stable career, underscores his valuable contributions to both business and law.
