Learn more about the London Business School (LBS) experience by meeting some of the new members of the MBA Class of 2026 in this edition of our Real Humans: MBA Students series.
The LBS MBA Class of 2026 is comprised of 431 students. Forty-five percent are women and 90 percent are from outside the United Kingdom, representing 65 different nationalities. Eighteen percent came from the U.S. and Canada and another 17 percent from Central and South America. A full quarter hailed from Asia — 12 percent from South Asia and 13 percent from South East Asia/Asia. From the rest of Europe, excluding the UK, 14 percent of the new class originated. Eight percent came from the Middle East and four percent each matriculated out of Africa or Australia/New Zealand.
The new class arrived on campus with an average of five years of work experience at the average age of 29. Thirty-four percent had worked in consulting before joining the MBA program. Nearly 21 percent came from finance/accounting roles and another 8.6 percent had worked in the non-profit/education/public sector spaces. Seven percent hailed from IT&T and nearly five percent brough experience from the healthcare/pharma/biotech fields.
When it came time to take the GMAT, the 75 percent of candidates who submitted this test for admission averaged a 702. A quarter of candidates submitted GRE scores.
Together, the London Business School MBA Class is a diverse and accomplished group of students, each with unique experience and aspirations. Alex Wambugu, a financial expert from Nairobi, Kenya, chose LBS to develop his leadership skills and grow a global network, while contributing his extensive experience in African and international markets. Anoli Mehta, a London-based entrepreneur, seeks to scale her fashion startup with insights from LBS’s renowned entrepreneurship faculty. Max Taylor, from Nottingham, was inspired by personal reflection to pursue an MBA, aiming to build a strong business foundation while fostering inclusivity and collaboration among his peers.
From Paris, Oriane Lesiak brings consulting expertise and a passion for innovation to the table, eager to leverage LBS’s international diversity and career resources. Former professional football player Travis Bruffy, hailing from Texas, seeks to develop entrepreneurial skills and global impact, particularly in logistics technology. Finally, Victoria Clark, an engineer from Calgary, Canada, is eager to explore business opportunities in energy and sustainability, building on her experience in low-carbon initiatives.
