Get to know some new members of the University of Georgia Terry College of Business MBA Class of 2026 in this edition of our ongoing series, Real Humans: MBA Students.

102 students matriculated to the Athens, Georgia, campus in the fall of 2024. Just over a third, 34 percent, of the new class are women while 19 percent are international. Thirteen percent of U.S. students identify as minorities. Seven percent of the new class have a military background. Ten percent are members of the LGBTQ+ community.

During their undergraduate years, the latest Georgian Terry class earned an average GPA of 3.55. Twenty-eight percent had majored in engineering/computer science followed by 24 percent who had pursued the sciences. Twenty-three percent earned degrees in business and 16 percent in the humanities/social sciences.

Prior to arriving at the University of Georgia, the new MBA students averaged 4.8 years of full-time work experience at an average age of 26. When it came time to take the GMAT, the average score of incoming students landed at 698. The middle 80 percent of scores ranged from 650 to 740. For those who submitted GRE scores, they averaged 314 total.

Beyond the class profile stats, the Georgia Terry MBA Class of 2026 is composed of an impressive cohort of individuals bringing diverse professional backgrounds, unique experiences, and ambitious goals to the program. First we meet Chelsea Cunico, with a career rooted in philanthropy and nonprofit work, who is pivoting into corporate consulting, drawn to Terry’s strong community and alumni network. Then Ricardo Salas, hailing from Peru with experience in financial services, shares why he values the program’s hands-on learning opportunities and personalized approach. Another new Georgia Terry student, Samuel Ogbonna worked as a product manager in digital transformation and AI; he was particularly attracted to Terry’s small class size and experiential learning focus, enabling him to make an impact in the consulting industry.

A former VP at Goldman Sachs, Jasgeet Kour looks forward to applying her technical and business strategy experience in leadership roles, leveraging the strong support system at Terry. Additionally, Joshua Huster, a former consultant in tax and lender due diligence, explains what stands out about the Terry MBA program. Lastly, Lauren Teal, with a background in finance and special education, is passionate about humanitarian aid and international business, finding in Terry the perfect place to blend her skills with her passion for impact.
