The profile for The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business MBA Class of 2026 is out, showing a diverse and talented 255-member cohort. Together, they bring a wealth of experience, academic honors, and commitment to making an impact to the school.

Diversity is a hallmark of the incoming MBA students. Women make up 33 percent of the class. Twenty-three percent of the U.S. citizens and permanent residents are U.S. minorities, with 18 percent identifying as underrepresented minorities. International students comprise 29 percent of the class.

The McCombs MBA Class of 2026’s academic and leadership qualifications are evident: 29 first-year students are Consortium Members, 49 are Forte MBA Fellows, and 22 are pursuing a dual degree (either MD, JD, Social Work, or MPAff). 

Coming from 165 undergraduate institutions, their average undergraduate GPA is an impressive 3.58. Thirty-four percent majored in business or economics, and 33 percent are STEM graduates. Just 8 percent were humanities majors, a 5 percent drop from last year. Fifteen percent of new students reported being the first generation in their families to attend college. Advanced degree holders make up 18 percent of the class.
