R1 Interview held by Adcom. Short (30 Mins) and conversational experience and the interviewer was very affable. The interviewer was familiar with my application, so the interview started with a question on the same note that since they were familiar with my resume and work experience, why did I choose my undergrad major and my career path, what was the thought process behind my journey till now.
This transitioned to why MBA and why now which led to why UNC.
Then, the behavioral session began with how would your manager describe your leadership style?
This led to a question on how I gave constructive feedback to someone and how did I tackle working with a difficult person.
This again led to how I took constructive feedback and what did I do post this.
The next question was on an ethical dilemma I faced during work and the interview ended with two questions, one on what I am most proud of and what makes me a unique candidate to Kenan-Flagler.
The Interview extended beyond 30 mins, so there wasn’t any time for questions, but some time was given to understand if any aspect of my application was missed through the essays and interview.
