We head to the University of Toronto to meet some new MBA students in the Rotman School of Management Class of 2026 in this Real Humans: MBA Students.
The new Toronto Rotman MBA class numbers 271 students. Forty-two percent are women and 58 percent hail from outside of Canada. During their undergraduate years, 35 percent had majored in business/commerce. Another 16 percent earned degrees in engineering while 14 percent studied economics. Nine percent had majored in applied sciences and seven percent in life sciences. Toronto Rotman MBAs matriculated with an average of five years of work experience at an average age of 28. Twenty-nine came from financial services. Consulting and tech followed at 16 percent each. Six percent had worked in healthcare/pharma/biotech pre-MBA. When it came time to take the GMAT, the new class reported an average score of 675.
Behind the class profile stats, the Toronto Rotman MBA Class of 2026 brings together a dynamic and inspiring cohort of individuals from across the globe, each with a unique story to tell and diverse aspirations for their business school journey.
To start, Anureet Kaur Mann from Chandigarh, India, brings a strong background in social entrepreneurship and impact consulting, having held multiple roles at Dalberg Advisors. Motivated by the intersection of business strategy and social welfare, Anureet chose Rotman for its academic excellence, emphasis on soft skills, and classroom diversity. Then, Bryan Xu, hailing from Nanjing, China, entered Rotman with experience in consulting and investment at Mirco Connect Investments and Meritco Services. Inspired to adopt a holistic approach to business understanding, Bryan was drawn to Canada’s diverse and inclusive environment.
We then meet Fiorella Torres Niño from Lima, Peru, who brings extensive experience in impact investing and fintech across global markets. Rotman’s focus on leadership and innovation aligned perfectly with her career goals, particularly as she aspires to explore private equity and lead systemic change. As a Latina and LGBTQ+ leader, Fiorella contributes a unique blend of global perspective and social advocacy to her class. New student Ziwei (Jivana) Ding from Harbin, China, transitioned to Rotman from her role as a Global Creative Strategist at ByteDance. With hands-on project management experience and a humanities background, Jivana sought business acumen to lead cross-functional teams effectively. Additionally, Kow Boi Amoagor Bedu-Addo, originally from Accra, Ghana, has lived in six countries, bringing cultural and professional diversity to Rotman. With a background spanning Deloitte and PwC in Risk Advisory, Audit, and Financial Advisory, Kow aims to pivot into finance roles at leading institutions. Finally, Michael D’Alimonte, a Toronto native, brings a decade of storytelling experience as a journalist and anchor, most recently with CTV News. His inquisitive nature, honed through years of asking the right questions, makes him a valuable voice in Rotman classrooms.
Together, these individuals reflect Rotman’s commitment to diversity, innovation, and leadership development. Whether driven by a passion for social impact, finance, entrepreneurship, or cultural exploration, the Class of 2026 is ready to challenge themselves, contribute to their peers, and embrace the opportunities that Rotman and Toronto have to offer.
