INSEAD has released the 2024 employment report for MBA graduates from the December 2023 and July 2024 classes, representing a “world of talent.” The statistics bear that out.

Combined, the two classes reported an overall median salary of €111,400 with a median sign-on bonus of €27,600. The median performance bonus came in at €21,900. Eighty percent of those seeking employment reported receiving at least one job offer by three months after graduation, and four percent of INSEAD MBA grads were recruited into company leadership programs.

The school’s Career Development Centre and alumni were responsible for 40 percent of job recruitment. The summer internship program is only available to the December graduating class, so while 9 percent of the total sourced careers through their internships, they were responsible for 18 percent of the December class’s job acceptances. Four percent founded their own companies, unchanged from last year.

Industry Placement

First, note that 68 percent provided details of their career decisions. INSEAD distinguishes employment statistics by industry between new hires and graduates returning to previous employers. Management consulting once again dominates INSEAD MBAs’ industry choice at 55 percent, despite representing a slight decrease from last year; this year, 21 percent returned to their pre-MBA employers. Corporate sectors, which include healthcare, manufacturing/conglomerates, retail consumer and luxury goods, and transportation, were the chosen professional sectors for 21 percent of graduates. Financial services recruited 13 percent of the class, and tech, media, and telecom jobs hired 11 percent.
