London Business School (LBS) has adapted its International Executive MBA (EMBA) to offer both in-person and blended learning options.
Students can join a program hosted in London or Dubai. The option of two locations and two formats allows executive students to choose “not just where they study, but how they study,” says Graham Hastie, Associate Dean, Degree Education LBS. The program allows them to work around their “demanding and busy lives” in the way “that best meets their needs.”
Students who select the in-person programme start in September; this option consists of 80% in-person classes and 20% self-paced learning. Those who select the blended format start in January; this program is made up of 40% in-person classes, 40% live online sessions, and 20% self-paced learning. Students can complete either format in as little as 17 months, and a maximum of 22 months. The program length depends on which electives they select.
Flexibility is by no means the programme’s only standout feature. The EMBA curriculum is rigorous, exciting, and comprehensive, says Ben Hardy, the Academic Director, Leadership Programmes and Clinical Professor of Organisational Behaviour. The EMBA coaches students to “approach business problems from diverse viewpoints and apply core concepts in” both “real world” and current situations, harnessing and examining multiple perspectives to address complex issues. It guides executives to “build resilient, sustainable organisations, and to adapt to an evolving business landscape.”
EMBA students are able to customize their study via the wide range of available electives. These are led with other LBS students, allowing networks to grow alongside learning. Students also have access to career activity and networking, skills training, and executive coaching.
Applications for the program are now open, as of January 27, 2025.
