Still waiting to hear back from MIT Sloan (I have interviewed with them) I live in Chicago and want to stay. I would love to minimize my loans. Booth is my dream school followed by Kellogg. Would really love to get more money from Booth/Kellogg. Went to UVA undergrad and don't love the idea of going back for my MBA. Any advice?

eliot Verified User. Likes Earned: 1945 Congrats on your acceptances and scholarship offers. Well done. Let's assume that you gain admission to MIT Sloan but do not receive a scholarship. Let's also assume no changes in the current scholarship offers. You mention that Booth is your dream school, followed by Kellogg. Given that, would you accept the current Booth offer ($20k/year?). Or would Booth have to increase the scholarship (and to how much) to convince you to turn down Kellogg ($55k/year)? (0)

mco9yp Likes Earned: 14 Thank you Eliot! I think right now the Booth scholarship is too low and I wouldn't be able to accept it at its current level. I think if Booth got within 5-10k of Kellogg I might turn Kellogg down in favor of Booth. However, I am trying to figure out if it is rational/justifiable to accept Booth or Kellogg at those scholarship levels given a full ride from a T15. (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1754 Consulting recruiting appears to be getting tougher, so it might make sense to favor Kellogg a little more over Darden in these circumstances. And especially given your desire to remain in Chicago, post MBA. (0)
