MIT Sloan Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / AdCom / Zoom
My interview was not as behavioral-based as I thought it would be. I was prepared to talk in more depth about conflict/persuasion/leadership type “stories,” but most of the questions focused on how the last year has been, my future goals, and my interest in MIT Sloan. Georgetown University Ranks Second in Graduating Women Entering Venture Capital
Georgetown University has placed second among universities graduating women entering venture capital, according to a study conducted by Different Funds. Different Funds, an investment firm specializing in venture capital, organized a comprehensive report on the dynamic of women from venture capital firms. New Business & Society Institute at Emory Goizueta Tackles Inequality, Climate Change
In early March, Emory Goizueta launched The Roberto C. Goizueta Business & Society Institute, renaming Social Enterprise at Goizueta. The new name represents an elevated commitment to social and environmental impact from the business school and The Goizueta Foundation. Furthermore, the Institute creates interdisciplinary study that explores the connections between business practices, market structures and social and environmental outcomes. In particular, business students will address the challenges of inequality and climate change. The interview – application + two pre-interview essays-based – felt like a genuine free-flowing conversation rather than interviewing with a person who needs to go through a specific set of questions before the interview ends (the feeling one has when interviewing with students and alumni). Fellowship Honors Black Excellence at Michigan Ross
Michigan Ross announced the first recipient of the Black Business Student Association (BBSA) Fellowship: TJ Banks, Ross MBA ’21. The Full-Time MBA team and Michigan Ross faculty selected Banks for the inaugural $10,000 fellowship. The BBSA Fellowship was created to honor Black excellence at Michigan Ross. LBS Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Virtual Interview
Had a fairly conversational interview with an alum that consisted of the standard questions (Tell me about yourself, why MBA, why LBS) as well as some questions about my resume and behavioral questions. My interviewer had already read through my application so there wasn’t a ton of probing questions on my motivations for b-school since it was already in the app. One unexpected question was what other schools I was applying to- makes sense since LBS is very concerned about yield, so this is important to have a good answer prepared about why you would prefer LBS vs. other schools. HEC Paris’ Efforts for Zero-Waste Campus
Though already considered France’s most environmentally-friendly business school, HEC Paris continues to raise the bar with ongoing recycling & waste reduction initiatives. The business school, just 17km from the center of Paris, kick started plans to have a zero-waste campus in mid-2020. One goal is to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. Another goal is recycling as much of its food, plastics, bottles, boxes, cigarette butts and paper as possible. Recently wrote the GRE. It's not a super score but I will probably apply with it anyway. I am still considering retaking the test, as the next time I can take it is around the Round 2 deadline.

My educational background is in social sciences, so wasn't very quant-heavy. Looking at taking an additional quant course to back up my GRE score as the exam fee is about 10x the minimum wage in my country. Any suggestion is welcomed.
