Work: Promoted in my first year, leading a project involving tens of millions in assets, considered by employer as 3+ years of experience at matriculation for high performance.

Involvement: Involved in two non-profits focusing on food insecurity/ (one is local, one focuses internationally).

Goals: Apply engineering background in either a tech-focused startup or in tech management at a larger company.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1677 Super numbers. With 3 years of experience, you’ll want to nail the “why now” aspect of your plan. But lots to like here. Showing impact at work, and outside of work will be very important. Are you wanting to be in the southwest, post MBA? (1)

Part of my "why now" is that I realized I love the big picture of engineering and how it connects with the customer rather than the details of how each feature works, is that enough? (0)

My concern is that you’ll get good MBA offers, but will they be from the very best programs (ie, will you be an even stronger candidate in another year). Hence “why now” will be key. (1)

Maybe your recommenders can address that in some way. You need to show you’ve had the experience/growth, and now is the ideal time, etc (0)
