Hi everyone, I'm a college senior applying for the deferred enrollment at several programs. I have an offer from Deloitte to be a consultant pre-MBA, and want to transition to strategy in impact investing--specifically in PE or real estate.

I have 3 internships (one engineering other ones real estate) and was a TA for 2 years. I'm also on the e-board for our CS club here, serve as a tour guide, and am on an alumni outreach club.

*Also I know there are no safeties here, I plan on applying to them during regular decision if I don't get into any of these*

I agree that things look quite solid here and that your general strategy makes good sense. I guess the only items I would want more detail on are the caliber of your undergraduate program, the rigor of your major, and to know how many times you took the GMAT exam and where your quantitative percentile landed. I ask these questions because the deferred enrollment programs tend to shine a pretty bright light on academics. For instance, if this is a 3.7 from MIT in engineering and your 730 GMAT is very well balanced, that would mean something. If you have a 3.7 in creative writing from a non-top 100 undergraduate program and a sub-60th percentile on the GMAT quantitative, that would tell a different story. anon10252 Likes Earned: 0 Undergrad is a top 40 program (private, pretty small). I double major in Computer Science and Business so I think the rigor compliments the GPA pretty well (Dean's List every semester). My GMAT quant was a little lower than I expected (Q44 59th percentile). I've only taken the GMAT once. My last question is that I don't have direct background in impact investing, will this make my story more under scrutiny? It's tough to get in college! Appreciate any feedback :) (0)
