28 years old, BA GPA: 3.35 postgraduate degree in Corporate Finance Specialization GPA: 3.9 GRE Q165 V158 Work Experience: 4 years in Real estate, Construction company in Colombia, one of the most important in the region. Current: Position Deputy Director of Finance. My post-MBA goals are to continue as Director of Finance in the same company I work for. We have several plans for the future and it's my responsibility to lead them. The purpose of the MBA is not limited to improving my professional profile, but also, is a personal challenge to prove to myself that I can be an exceptional leader with the rigorous knowledge that is required to assume this role.

I posted my profile three months ago, I was applying for the 3 round of 2023. However, due to personal reasons, I decided to postpone my application for the 1 round of 2024.

I listened to your podcast about my case, I don't know if you remember me guys! Thanks a lot for
all your feedback. I also updated some of my personal information, like my GPA and my GRE score.

P.S.: Ross and Cornell waitlisted me, I do not recommend using a test waiver if you already have a decent score.

Will you be able to show some growth, over the 6 months, for the programs you applied this season, Ross, Johnson, etc? Have you dropped out of the wait lists? For Columbia, are you applying ED? I’d target 4-5 programs in the first rounds, then see where things stand for your round 2 strategy? (0)

diegofsandovalp Likes Earned: 10 1. Yes, in fact, I did not submit my GRE score to Cornell and Ross because I gave up on applying any further. Also, I improved my Toefl score and have been working on my CV. 2. For Columbia, yes. I intend to apply in the Early Decision round, CBS is one of my top choices. 3. That is what I was planning to do. 1 round. NYU, Columbia, Kellogg, and Chicago. Any suggestions? But still, I have some questions: Is it worth applying in round 1? In terms of acceptance rate and based on my application profile. Is my GRE score enough for my school list? I know I could improve it by at least 325, but I don't know if it's worth the effort and time. (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1676 325 would put your GRE score close to the median of top programs, so if you think that’s attainable, it will be worth the effort, I think. Applying Round 1 is better, especially for programs you’re reapplying. Round 2 will be fine for targets that you’re not reapplying. Columbia absolutely ED. (1)

I was also thinking about applying in the 2nd round for other schools if I'm not satisfied with the offers; Stanford, Yale, Tuck, and MIT are among my options. Any final advice? (0)
