Hello, I am 31M targeting to apply in R1/ Early Round for Fall 2025 entry. To offset my low undergrad GPA, I have done MBA Math/ HBS Core(Economics for Managers course) and a few other online courses. Have an extensive background in tech leadership in 4 different countries' roles but not Product Management. My goal post-MBA is to become a Product Manager. Any suggestions to strengthen my profile further/ review the target schools list? Also a bit concerned due to age above the median.

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1237 Thanks for your post! A couple of quick thoughts: 1. Why wait until fall 2025 to start if you are currently 31 and may 33+ by then? Or did you mean to type that you are planning to apply this fall to start in the fall of 2024? I ask because you are absolutely right in citing your age as a possible factor, so I'd recommend applying sooner rather than later. 2. Your low GPA will be problematic, but I need more context. Do you have a class rank? Perhaps there isn't as much grade inflation where you studied (in Germany?). 3. To combat your low GPA, you need to secure a solid result on the GMAT or GRE. I'm not sure that a 322 does a lot in this domain, since it's sort of average at many of the schools on your list. Have you taken the test more than once? 4. As a German (if you are both living in German and of German origin), you will be under-represented in the applicant pool, and that should be helpful. Best of luck and keep us postes!

juchwe Likes Earned: 0 Thanks for your feedback. I meant to say that I am planning to apply this fall. I have taken GRE 4 times already. Can give it another go but would be challenging to bring it up. My 2.9 GPA was right at the average. (0)
