I was located in the states originally and over my 5+ year career I represented dozens of commercial clients in a variety of litigated disputes, communicating directly with executives. I played key role in resolving high exposure disputes. I moved to London right before COVID hoping to pivot into international corporate work (non-litigation). Have a gap in the resume from lockdown related unemployment - I tried to fill that with volunteering for a local charity, get out the vote campaigns, and by gaining certificates in the London insurance market. For the past five months I've been working for an EU industry leader in insurance products where I consult across the business on novel legal questions and projects. Impact will be harder to show here as I am new still, but I can show clear progression from the role I was hired for to what I do now, moving up in issue complexity, seniority of stakeholders, and value to business. My GRE breaks down to 170V 157Q, so math is a weakness. I continue to work with the local charity. (1)
