Looking to get some candid feedback on the strength of my profile to the schools that I'm targeting. I have 3 years of Crisis Management Consulting experience and 3 years (upon matriculation) in Human Capital Consulting. I'm looking to pivot into brand marketing/product marketing related roles post-MBA given my consulting experience serving CPG clients and passion for addressing consumer needs and wants. From an EC perspective, I led our wellbeing initiatives team and pro bono consulting program for the NYC office. I also mentor high school students and young adults looking to transition into the technology space and spent one month abroad tutoring English in Nepal. My GRE breakdown is 160V/166Q. GPA is a degree in both Accounting and Management with a concentration in Information Systems. My major GPA is a 3.93. I also intend on applying to Ross/Haas/Anderson through the Consortium as well.

Work experience sounds very interesting - and not incredibly common given the focus on crisis management and human capital consulting. Based on your applying via the Consortium to some of these programs, I presume you are a URM? I will say that based on the information you've provided it feels like you have a very solid approach in terms of making your case for the short-term goals. The only question I have is why you aren't considering some M7 programs (Wharton, HBS etc.) given that it would seem you might be competitive at that end of the spectrum too.... Best of luck!

anon13071 Likes Earned: 19 Long term goal is to run marketing efforts in the health and wellness industry (either startups or more established firms) (I have personal and professional instances through my life that ultimately culminate into this goal). I'd ideally like to gain broader marketing skills at a larger CPG/Tech company before pivoting into the health and wellness industry. I'm actually an Asian American male (LGBTQ) but have demonstrated significant experience in supporting the Consortium's mission. I also intend on retaking the GRE again as during the test day, I got incredibly hungry after taking my essays and think that hindered my focus a little.. (1)

anon13071 Likes Earned: 19 OP here! Just retook the GRE and received a 329 (170Q/159V). Not sure if it's worth retaking it for a fourth time as I'm pretty exhausted at this point but the only thing giving me pause is the 159 in V. Would love additional insights! (0)
