I'm an International Asian male. Once I hit my fourth year at my firm I'll be reaching the natural "end point" in my line of work where most analysts either switch to a new career or complete an advanced degree as we can't be promoted without one. Currently my passions lie at the intersection of technology and current affairs, in particular with regards to future regulation of the technology industry and issues of online moderation and harassment. In the long run I would like to become a VP of product and moderation at a social media firm such as Twitter or Twitch. In the shorter term, I would like to pivot into technology with product management and strategic/business operations roles as my core interests. By entering business school, I hope to expand my leadership potential and develop the critical thinking skills necessary to predict and develop policy in response to market transformations that will compliment my existing technical background in statistics and economics. Additionally, by joining an MBA program I hope to leverage the networks and training made available by technology-oriented clubs as well as alumni members currently working within the technology space.
