Attended Berkeley undergrad, received a BA in Architecture, was heavily involved in extracurricular activities, and worked all throughout school. Decided that the architecture field wasn't the right fit for me, so I spent two-years as a Teach For America corps member teaching middle school math and received my MEd in Mathematics Instruction.
For the past eight years I have been in recruiting/talent acquisition at FAANG companies—the past seven years at the same company and the last five as a people manager for teams of 10-20+ individuals. I volunteer as a mentor at work and educator with different youth programs.
I'm interested in an MBA for a formal business education beyond the on-the-job learnings I've had around strategy/management. My short-term goal is consulting to build my business acumen and gain exposure to a breadth of environments. Long-term I would like to work in human capital/workforce planning.
I plan on applying Round 2 and for the ROMBA Fellowship. I haven't taken the GMAT, but given my initial score on a practice exam and math background I'm confident in scoring at least around 700.
