Graduated undergrad from a top public school in Computer Science in 2018. Joined a well-known software company as a rotational product manager (very very selective program).
Got promoted in 1 year and was the first in the history of the program to do so. Typical time is 2 years.
I'm engaging the M&A and Strategy/BizOps teams here and realize that I know next to nothing about actually building businesses. My engineering background has equipped me for being a tech PM, but I want to go to the next level with a business/strategic acumen.
The plan is to do consulting at MBB after MBA and then exit back to Product or Tech Strategy, with a more holistic set of skills.
In undergrad, I was very involved with running entrepreneurship events for the university. I'm also a venture partner on the side with a small seed vc fund ($XXM AUM). Trying to figure out what else to do with my time to round out my extracurriculars.
