alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1675 It is possible, have you already got experience in PE/VC? As I'm sure you know, they are notoriously tough to break into. Nice GPA, but GMAT is below average for all the programs you're targeting. Have you retaken the test? What is the balance of the score? (0)

I don't have experience but have interviewed with a number of firms that look for someone with my similar background; I'm hoping that an MBA will help me become more versed in business so that I can ace these interviews in the future. i retook the test but received the same score, hoping to explain the circumstances of both scores and why they are not indicative of my abilities, especially considering the type of work that I currently do in econ consulting. anon74593 Likes Earned: 10 Ok understood, thanks for the feedback! Do you think that it would be okay to explain the circumstances of my GMAT scores in the Additional Information section? We had high turnover at work during the times that I attempted to take the test and I had to take on a lot of additional responsibility at work (working very late in the weeks leading up to the tests), and consequently my studying was affected negatively. I don't think that the scores are necessarily reflective of my academic abilities given my undergrad record and the type of work that I currently do. (0)
