Looking to apply for a start in 2024 but would like to get out of the Army in Fall 2023 in order to build some private sector/corporate experience.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1677 When are you planning to take the GMAT or GRE? Make sure to reach out to the veterans’ clubs of programs you apply. The majority of veteran candidates will start their MBA and then transition to the private sector, your challenge would be to find something for a six month stint? Might also consider Wharton, they have a west coast campus, to help with west coast networking, etc. What are your longer term goals, post MBA? (0)

925cmt Likes Earned: 1 Will be taking the GRE in February-June (based on results). Have started to reach out to some clubs but I’m unsure if it’s better to go through their online portals or through individual members on LinkedIn. To clarify my timeline, I intend to do an internship while technically still in the Army from September 2023 to February 2024 and then either continue the internship till school starts in fall 2024 or transition to a paid position. I would officially be out of the army in February/March 2024. Long term I’d love to transition into operations or marketing within the sports industry either with a team or brand (I.e Under Armor, Nike, etc.) Appreciate the feedback! I’m a huge fan of the podcast and eagerly await to listen every Monday morning as I drive into work for physical training. (1)
