I spent the past 5.5 years in South Africa volunteering full-time as a missionary to build a school for HIV/AIDS infected/affected children from poverty-stricken townships. During my time there, we grew the school by 6 grades, built 16 buildings, and implemented outdoor education and skills development programs (among many other great experiences!). I was involved in pretty much every aspect of the organization. Prior to that, I worked for ~8 years for J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank in various progressing roles in operations.I’m aiming for full-time programs. I am open to 1-year programs, but I couldn’t make the deadlines and I don’t think I can wait another year given my age. I know an MBA will strengthen and formalize my experiential learning to move into strategy/innovation and entrepreneurship in LDPs or strategy/innovation. Ideally in consumer electronics, but I'd like most industries where I could innovate and run a division or company (hence entrepreneurial mindset). I love building organizations and developing people.
I took my first GRE yesterday after 2.5 weeks of prep. Scheduled to take it again April 17. I'm open to other schools, but time is not my friend right now.
